Plant, lawn, and pest care in Novi
Novi mixes established neighborhoods with subdivisions built in the last couple of decades. Many of the trees and lawns were installed with the houses and are now old enough to show it.
Novi sits north of Northville and is crossed by I-96, I-275, Grand River, and Twelve Mile. The Twelve Oaks commercial area is a landmark for the retail edge. The residential work is in the subdivisions around that frame, not in a claim about any shopping center.
Trees that came with the house
A lot of Novi front yards were planted from a builder palette: linden, maple, ornamental pear, cherry, and a spruce or two for the corner. Those trees are no longer new. Lindens take Japanese beetles and aphids. Pears and cherries crowd their own branches and show scale and stress. Spruce thin from the bottom for the same needlecast and canker reasons they do in Troy. Where several small ornamentals were planted in one bed, they are now competing.
A useful quote names the tree and the symptom. “The linden drops sticky sap on the drive” is a plant health request. It is also, sometimes, the reason wasps and ants are interested in the pavement.
Lawns that came with the house
Turf installed at construction is often tired at the parkway, next to the walk, and where the mower turns. Weeds fill the seams. Crabgrass takes the thin spots. Grubs and summer disease show up the same way they do across Oakland County. Clay is common. Irrigation is also common, and it is not part of this service. Overwatered turf and a dry strip along the curb fail differently, so say which you have.
Stewards does not mow these lawns. The program, if one is quoted, is fertilization and pesticide service.
Association commons and commercial entries
An HOA common area can be quoted as its own property. That is not a claim that Stewards holds any association contract. The form has a property type for it. Describe the area, who can approve the work, and whether the request is the common lawn or the private yard behind it.
Near the retail corridors, ants at an entry and wasps around a bin are ordinary pest requests. Describe the building and the use. There is no need to name a brand. Residential fall insects and mice are the same regional pattern as in Northville, next door, with fewer wooded edges than Oakland Township and more foundation plantings than a rural parcel.
